Return & Refund Policy

Bath Atelier accepts returns under the conditions outlined below. Because our products are large, fragile, and shipped via freight, all returns require prior authorization and are subject to restocking and return shipping fees.

Returns Require Prior Authorization

All return requests must be reviewed and approved by Bath Atelier in advance. A Return Authorization (RA) number will be issued in writing before the item is shipped back. Bath Atelier reserves the right to deny return requests that do not meet the conditions below.

Return Window — 30 Days

Eligible return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery. Requests received after 30 days will not be considered (warranty claims are handled separately under our Limited Warranty policy).

Conditions for an Eligible Return

To be considered for a return, the item must be:

  • Unused, uninstalled, and unassembled (see "What Counts as Installed" below)
  • In its original, unopened or carefully resealed packaging, including all original protective foam, corner guards, plastic wrap, hardware bags, manuals, and accessories
  • Free of any modification, drilling, cutting, or alteration
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number)

Return freight for large items typically costs $200–$600 depending on size, weight, and destination. The actual freight cost will be confirmed with you before the label is issued.

What Counts as "Installed" — Non-Returnable

Once a product has been installed, assembled, or otherwise put into use in any way, it is considered used and cannot be returned. This includes:

  • Mounting, anchoring, or affixing the product to any wall, floor, or surface
  • Connecting to plumbing, water supply, drainage, or electrical power
  • Filling with water, even briefly or for a leak test
  • Installing any included or third-party hardware (drains, faucets, seats, supply lines, etc.)
  • Drilling, cutting, modifying, or altering the product in any way
  • Removing protective films or factory seals from finished surfaces

Always Non-Returnable

  • Clearance / final-sale items
  • Items marked "Non-Returnable" on the product page
  • Installed or assembled items
  • Gift cards and promotional items
  • Replacement parts

How to Start a Return

  • Email customerservice@bathatelier.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number, photos of the item and packaging, and your reason for return.
  • Our team will review within 2 business days and, if approved, issue a Return Authorization (RA) number and send a return shipping label.
  • Pack the item in its original packaging with the RA number marked clearly on the outside and attach the label provided.
  • Hand the package to the carrier or schedule a pickup as instructed.

Returns sent without an approved RA number, or shipped using a label other than the one we provide, will be refused at the warehouse.

Refunds

Once the return arrives, our warehouse inspects it within 5 business days. We deduct the applicable restocking fee, return shipping cost, and any original expedited shipping fees. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of inspection.
